Feast of the Gods

All the gods of antiquity gather for the wedding of Cupid and Psyche. Flamboyantly reimagined in the modern day, Little Bulb explore not just the weirdness of the ancient myths but also the rich world of weddings; complete with classic cheesy love songs, bad speeches and family dramas. This is a joyous, playful and irreverent celebration of the trials and tribulations of love

Enter Sandman

We’re exploring the world of dreams and nightmares through the Sandman myth, in which the Sandman visits children in their dreams, leaving sand in their eyes to show he’s been. We’re excited about re-telling this story through the form of cabaret, drawing on a range of musical influences including Funeral Brass and the songs of Tom Waits, as well as the Sandman’s numerous appearances in popular songs from bands as diverse as Metallica and The Chordettes.

A Christmas Carol

We are placing music at the heart of this iconic story, fusing raucous folk with traditional carols, opera, polyphony and original compositions. Dickens’ hilarious and haunting text is brought to life by Little Bulb’s signature blend of ensemble storytelling, musical dexterity and playfulness.

Mirror

Set in a ‘mirror’ England of the past and populated by dog-headed beings this ambitious production uses an exciting fusion of classical and modern music to explore the phenomenon of plagues across time. Focusing in particular on the Black Death and drawing inspiration from Shakespeare and Medieval Mystery Plays, Mirror is a fantastical, visceral and poignant exploration of the nature of illness and death.
